RECOGNITION FOR ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE CONSTRUCTION AT CIWM EXCELLENCE AWARDS

Construction companies have only a short time left to enter the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) Awards for Environmental Excellence, which recognise and reward companies that have introduced successful measures to reduce their environmental impact. Now in their second year, the 2008 CIWM Awards will be hosted by television presenter and conservationist Philippa Forrester at The Dorchester, Park Lane, London on 5 November 2008. The judging panel includes Owen Jenkins, Director of CIRIA, Colin Mew from the Health & Safety Executive, Jane Milne, Director of Business & Environment for the British Retail Consortium, and Liz Goodwin, Chief Executive of WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme).
