Oviposition Preference of Spotted Stem Borer (Chilo partellus) on Sorghum

The spotted stem borer (Chilo partellus) is one of the most serious pests of sorghum in India and in eastern and southern. Africa Singh and Verma (1988) studied the growth and development of various stages of C. partellus on resistant and susceptiblesorghum genotypes. The information on ovipositional preference of C. partellus in sorghum is scanty. Hence, the present studies were carried out to investigate the ovipositional preference of spotted stem borer on different sorghum genotypes.
