Not since the 1960s has interest in high-rise construction been at such a peak. The desire to live and work high above ground level is not diminishing and is regarded as the future of urban development. In many cities across the UK high-rise is once again big business. The hangover of post-war regeneration, which for many years cast a bleak shadow over the high-rise market, is finally lifting. The architectural and cultural oddities of high-rise living that dominated the period between the 1950s and 1970s are fast fading from memory, replaced instead with some of the most stunning and innovative new buildings to be seen in the UK. As a result, high-rise residential towers are rapidly becoming a developing feature of the property market across the UK.
