Delivered woodfiber prices moved higher into early December across the South Central region as extremely wet weather halted logging and drained mill inventories. While already a "crisis condition" or "near crisis" for many buyers heading into year-end holidays, several pulp and paper buyers acknowledged that "fortunate" mill, machine or boiler maintenance outages in December or the first quarter "will provide some relief."
