A 69-year-old male patient with microscopically confirmed cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma located on the right leg and associated with pulmonary metastases was referred to the Institute of Oncology of Istanbul University for chemotherapeutic treatment. He had undergone bypass cardiac surgery because of myocardial infarction 18 years previously. On physical examination, there were multiple tumors located along the old incisional scar line related to the bypass operation, enlarged right inguinal and popliteal lymph nodes, and diffuse leg swelling (Fig. 1). Pathological examination showed a moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of skin (Fig. 2). The patient was treated with combination chemotherapy consisting of cisplatin, doxorubicin, and cyclophosphamide. This resulted in regression of all the skin lesions, lymphadenopathy, and lung nodules. However, the patient died from recurrent disease 10 months from the time of diagnosis.
