Comment on Kuo: Measurement of detrusor wall thickness in women with overactive bladder by transvaginal and transabdominal sonography

Dr. Kuo has made what appears to be an interesting and comprehensive contribution to this field of clinical research which may serve as a reference for future investigations [1]. Therefore, I would like to add some comments and suggest some corrections. My experience with sonography is limited to the role of a critical observer. Very often, the precision of any sono-graphic measurement remains unclear to me when considering millimeters and fractions thereof, because my eyes are too unreliable, or untrained. As a scientist with an engineering background, I am trained to look always critically on measurement accuracy and use numbers with strict plausibility control only.
