LIGHTING PLAYS A MAJOR ROLE IN LIFE SAFETY

Emergency lighting performs the important function of saving lives or preventing serious injuries in the event of a power failure or fire as it enables members of the public to be quickly and safely evacuated from a building during an emergency situation. When peoples' lives are at stake there can be no compromise on the design of the installation or on the quality of the emergency lighting luminaires or associated products being proposed within the scheme. The cost of safe evacuation from a building will represent a significant amount within the construction costs but, whilst the products installed need to be reliable and functional, there is now a growing demand for these lighting products to offer greater system versatility both in terms of installation capabilities and aesthetic appeal.
