CHILDREN'S UNIVERSITY, BRADFORD & DISTRICT CONSTRUCTION COMPETITION FINAL

On 23 May I had the pleasure of attending an absolutely fantastic event at the Bradford University campus, organised by the Children's University. Over the preceding couple of months four primary schools and one secondary school had been designing and building a model of a sustainable house using recycled materials. It was a requirement of the rules that the design must also have a minimum of three sustainable energies incorporated within it. The schools had linked with staff from principal sponsors Rex Procter & Partners, who gave them expert advice on sustainable buildings.
