Santos offloads Victorian assets

Santos has sold the last of its Victorian gas assets in Australia after the completion of the 10 stake sale in the Minerva gas field to fellow Australian player Cooper Energy. In October 2016, Santos agreed to sell its Victorian assets to Cooper for up to US $61.4m in cash. The sale included a 50 stake in the Casino-Henry (VIC/L30, VIC/L24) gas project in the Otway Basin; a 50 stake in the Sole gas field (VIC/RL3) in the Gippsland Basin and the Orbost gas plant; and a 10 stake in the Minerva gas field (VIC/L22) in the Otway Basin and gas plant.
