Organised by LINK Collaborative Research, this first Bioremediation Dissemination Event provided six presentations based upon data from live field projects funded so far to 4m dollars under the LINK research programme, which started in 2001. The stated 'LINK end-game' is to develop bio-sciences for environmental clean-up! The LINK stated programme promotes the development of technologies enabling UK industry (in particular small- and mediumsized companies (SMEs) to exploit research into Bioremediation of contaminated land, water and air. The LINK stated programme is to support a range of collaborative research projects between industry and the science base in the following technical objective areas: understanding and exploiting natural attenuation - more particularly in groundwater, and soil (demonstration/ modelling/prediction/definition of available operational windows)
