Part I of this paper describes operating principles and mathematical models of a vapour compression heat pump connected to a chamber simulating an adiabatic dryer.The optimum operating parameters of the heat pump-dryer system were found using a mathematical model.In part II,the results of experiments carried out in the vapour compression heat pump-drying chamber system are discussed.
