Comment on Liu et al.: Meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials comparing unipolar with bipolar hemiarthroplasty for displaced femoral-neck fractures

Dear Editor, In a recent issue of International Orthopaedics published in August 2014, we read with great interest the article by Liu et al. [1] entitled "Meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials comparing unipolar with bipolar hemiarthroplasty for displaced femoral-neck fractures". The investigators performed a meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) published in the literature to evaluate unipolar versus bipolar hemiarthroplasty (HA) for displaced femoral neck fractures in elderly patients. It is a valuable study. Nevertheless, there are some queries that we would like to communicate with the authors.
