Local Authority Benchmarking - Time for a New Approach

Over the last six months, Dorset Works Organisation has worked closely with the STRI to complete a full audit of 280 school playing fields across the county. The process of benchmarking has allowed the Local Authority to objectively review its facilities and re-focus maintenance and works with confidence in the future. Within the next five years, planned improvement works on targeted sites will have a major and measurable effect on the quality of sports provision across the county.
