Growing-in the New Dunmow Bowling Green

This article evaluates the development of a bowling green co-ordinated by the STRI and grown-in with assistance from the author. The project was different in that the growing-in principles favoured the development of fescues. In the middle of 2007, Dunmow Bowling Club sold their original bowling green and pavilion in the South East of England and moved to a new plot of land located on the outskirts of the town. A brand new bowling club was constructed which included a new pavilion with parking spacefor up to 70 cars, modern facilities, workshop and two new bowling greens.
