Mamputation of putting green speed balanced with the maintenance of healthy turf is one of the primary management issues for Course Managers. Two particular management practices that are receiving increased attention in this regard are lightweight rolling and the application of trinexapac-ethyl growth regulator, available as Primo Maxx. When appropriately applied in addition to existing good greens management these treatments can offer excellent results to satisfy both the golfer and Course Manager.In the following article I wish to share with the reader the current stance on both of these inputs and what can be expected from their use.
