Whenever we think of turf diseases, we automatically try to identify what we have done wrong with regard to the management of the affected area, that has resulted in the deterioration of the sward. We assume that we must have applied some fertiliser at the wrong time or at the wrong rate, over or under watered the area, top dressed too heavily and so on. In some situations, it may be that our actions have resulted in a disease outbreak, but in the majority of cases there is something more complex occurring.
