Nido Petroleum said it has been granted a one-year deferral by the Dept. of Energy for 2002 work and financial commitments of service contract 42 (SC42) offshore in the Northwest Palawan Basin (ION, 8 Oct 01, p5). Nido is operator for SC42, which holds the Coron and Nido blocks.
