A scientific review panel appointed by British Columbia's (BC) Ministry of Mines & Energy has concluded that there is "no inherent or fundamental inadequacy of the science or technology, properly applied in an appropriate regulatory framework, to justify retention" of British Columbia's moratorium on offshore oil and gas exploration and development (ION, 13, Nov 00, p 6).
