National Iranian Oil Co. (NIOC) has discovered an oil field in the Caspian Sea for the first time in more than a century, according to the Fars news agency.The find was made at a depth of 2.5 km during drilling on a natural gas field and could contain 10-billion bbls of oil, added NIOC.Robin Mills, head of consulting at Dubai-based Manaar Energy Consulting & Project Management, said: "Iran has never found anything in its section of the Caspian because it's deep water, so these would be the first wells ever drilled.
