Great Eastern Energy Wins Ranigani Stake

Great Eastern Energy Corp. has won a 25% stake in the Raniganj (North) block, which was offered by ONGC through a competitive bidding process initiated in January. The block is adjacent to the current Raniganj (South) block in the state of West Bengal. The gas-in-place in the block as per the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) is 1.5-trillion cu ft. Great Eastern already has 100% ownership of the Raniganj (South) block.
