Iran Unveils Big Oil Find

Iran has announced its largest oil find in more than five years: an 8.8 billion bbl discovery at the Sousangerd field in the southwestern Khuzestan province. The news was carried by state news agencies quoting Oil Minister Gholamhossein Nozari, who could soon lose his job after President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad norminated a close ally, Massoud Mirkazemi, to take his place (IOD Aug.20,p1).
