The Mideast subsidiary of Russia’s Lukoil said Thursday it is seeking armored vehicles for its operations in Iraq, where the company holds a majority stake in the West Qurna-Phase 2 project. Lukoil Mideast issued a tender requesting bids for “supply of armored vehicles” from Iraqi or international companies, according to an announcement published in a local newspaper Thursday. Qualified firms must demonstrate they have sold an annual average of 100 armored vehicles in the Mideast over the past three years, have a repair base for the vehicles - in Iraq or adjacent countries - and possess all required licenses and permits, it said. Bids are due Sep. 21.
