Nigeria's acting President Goodluck Jonathan swore in his new cabinet Tuesday, appointing Deziani Allison-Madueke and Godsday Orubebe as the new oil and Niger Delta ministers, respectively (IOD Apr.1,p3). Allison-Madueke, the first woman to head the oil ministry, comes from the Niger Delta and was in charge of the mines and steel ministry in the old cabinet. Senior Goldman Sachs executive Olusegun Aganga becomes finance minister.
