Lisbon to Sell Galp, EDP Stakes

The Portuguese government has approved the sale of stakes in oil company Galp and Portuguese power group EDP through the issue of convertible bonds, treasury secretary Carlos Pina said Thursday. Pina said the sales were approved at the weekly cabinet meeting and that the bonds would be convertible for at least seven years. The plan is to sell up to 10% of EDP and 7% of Galp.
