Hunt Oil Seeks to Sell Entire Canadian Upstream Portfolio

Hunt Oil, one of the largest privately held US independents, is looking to exit Canada by divesting its entire upstream portfolio there. Hunt has put up for sale producing properties and undeveloped acreage in the western Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. In all, the holdings encompass nearly 377,000 net undeveloped acres, 14,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day of production, and 53 million boe of proved and probable (2P) reserves. Roughly 60% of current production and 68% of the reserves are natural gas.
