Chinese Firms Eye More of Chevron's Gorgon Gas

US major Chevron is reportedly in talks with Chinese state firms to sell 2 million tons per year of its share of LNG output from the Gorgon project off northwestern Australia. Reports last week said China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) and Sinopec were in negotiations for the LNG, while other local media in China suggested PetroChina could be in the frame too.
