Asian governments' multibillion-dollar stimulus packages may allow the region to emerge from the oil demand slump before other parts of the world, International Energy Agency (IEA) head Nobuo Tanaka said Tuesday. "China and Japan are spending a lot of money in their stimulus packages and both are very important growth centers," the IEA executive director told International Oil Daily on the sidelines of an industry conference in Kuala Lumpur.
