Badak NGL, operator of Indonesia's Bontang LNG plant, said it will cut 10 cargoes from exports this year at term customers' request. That will reduce Bontang's exports to 297 cargoes in 2009 (IOD Apr.15,p3). Badak NGL chief Agus Haryanto was quoted as saying the move "will not have a significant impact, because Bontang will convert some gas to LPG for the domestic market." LPG demand is increasing as the government encourages Indonesians to switch from using LPG, rather than kerosene, for cooking.
