Dana Starts Egypt's Al Basant

The UAE's Dana Gas said Monday that production from its Al Basant gas and condensate find in the West Manzala concession in Egypt's Nile Delta began on Mar. 31. Production from two wells, drilled last year, is a cumulative 34 MMcf/d of gas and just over 1,100 b/d of condensate, while reserves at Al Basant are estimated to exceed 123 Bcf. A third well is expected to take field production to a target 45 MMcf/d before the end of the year, Dana Gas said.
