Lundin Hits Oil Off Norway

Swedish independent Lundin Petroleum announced Wednesday an oil discovery in wildcat well 16/1-4, targeting the Apollo prospect, offshore Norway. The well was drilled in license PL 338 by the semisubmersible Transocean Winner rig to a total depth of 2,550 meters and encoun- tered a 40-meter oil column in the Paleocene reservoir, and a separate 10-meter oil col- umn at the Cretaceous level.
