Japanese explorer Inpex saw net profits tumble 26.1% to 107.21 billion yen ($1.15 billion) in the year to Mar. 31 on lower oil and gas prices and the yen’s appreciation against the dollar. Net sales dropped 21.9% to 840.4 billion yen as the average sales price of crude declined to $68.40/bbl from $82.70/bbl a year earlier. Oil and gas sales rose, however — crude sales by 0.9% to 208,500 b/d and gas sales by 3.9% to 1.14 Bcf/d.
