Cepsa Refinery Fire Kills Two

Cepsa, Spain’s second-biggest refiner, said Wednesday that a fire at its 100,000 b/d La Rabida refinery in Huelva left two people dead and two injured. The fire began in the early afternoon and was extinguished about three hours later. It originated in a pipe leading to a storage tank. Cepsa declined to say whether the blaze had affected production from the refinery, which is being expanded. It has launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
