Norwegian engineering group Aker says it has reached agreement with French Total over financing for additional work on the Frigg decommissioning project.Aker Solutions said the removal of installations from the North Sea Frigg field, which straddles the UK-Norway border, was complicated and demanding from an environmental and safety standpoint. Moreover, it said the scope of work had increased beyond the fixed price contract signed in 2004 (IOD Oct.28'04,p10).
