Venezuela Capacity to Rise

Venezuelan Energy Minister Rafel Ramirez said on Tuesday the South American Opec member's oil production capacity should reach 4.25 million b/d by 2015, compared with current production of 3 million b/d. Ramirez, opening an oil conference on the island of Margarita, added that capacity should rise to 6.862 million b/d by 2021, largely because of development of the Orinoco heavy oil belt.
