Gulfsands Completes Syria Well

UK-listed Gulfsands Petroleum has completed drilling its KHE-9 development well in the Khurbet East Field in Syria's Block 26, where oil flowed at an average of 3,040 b/d. The well, drilled to a depth of 1,986 meters, was spudded on Apr. 9 and will be completed as a production well and tied in to the company's early production facility (EPF), Gulfsands said (IOD Apr.24,p9). The rig will now move to drill the KHE-10 development well.
