Fairfield Makes North Sea Splash

UK-based Fairfield Energy said Tuesday that it has agreed to take over a package of assets in the UK North Sea, including the North West Hutton field. The agreement covers interests in license P184 in Block 211/27a, and license P474 in Block 211/27c. Fairfield, which did not disclose the deal's value,plans to apply new technology to redevelop North West Hutton, which stopped producing in 2003.
