摘要

Qatar is looking into the root causes of a mechanical failure that has halted one-third of its LNG output since last week, with no timetable for the resumption of production, a Qatari official told International Oil Daily Thursday.Qatargas-1, which consists of three trains with a total capacity of just over 10 million tons per year, has been off line since Jan. 8, a Qatargas spokesman said (IOD Jan.13,p6). The joint venture is owned by state-run Qatar Petroleum (QP), Exxon Mobil, France's Total, and Japan's Mitsui and Marubeni.
