We read with interest the report on the survey of UK practice on the preparation and storage of drugs for obstetric emergencies and congratulate the authors for highlighting this important issue. In our unit, thio-pental, succinylcholine, atropine, ephedrine and phenyl-ephrine are all drawn up at least daily with other drugs such as glycopyrrolate, metaraminol and atracurium also prepared by some anaesthetists.
