Kazakhs Keep Tax on Hold

Kazakhstan's mineral extraction tax (MET) is set to remain flat until 2013 after the government reversed a decision to raise the duty next year. "We plan to keep tax stable, especially for the mineral extraction sector," Deputy Economy Minister Timur Suleimenov was quoted as saying by Dow Jones Newswires. "Everybody can make their investment plans for next year just like for this year."
