Chevron LNG Deals Pave Way for Gorgon Investment Decision

Chevron has sewn up its first LNG sale and purchase agreements (SPA) for the Gorgon LNG project off northwestern Australia with customers in Japan and South Korea. That makes it the last of the Gorgon partners to announce binding deals for its share of output, and paves the way for a final investment decision on the estimated A$50 billion (US$42 billion) project in the coming weeks (IOD Sep.2,p7).
