June Nymex crude oil slipped 22￠ to settle at $49.92 per barrel in light trading on Tuesday, after starting the day at lower levels. Speculation about the possible economic fallout from a swine flu pandemic was offset by a fairly steady equities market and a weaker dollar. June Brent crude on ICE Futures finished down 33￠ at $49.99/bbl, remaining at a slight premium to the front-month Nymex contract after dipping to a discount at one point during the day.
