Afghanistan will have to hike domestic gas prices if it wants international oil companies to spend the millions of dollars needed to develop two gas fields on offer in the country's first international bid round, Afghan Mines Minister Ibrahim Adel says. "The price has to be around $120-$150 per thousand cubic meters - that is reasonable for both sides," Adel told International Oil Daily on Sunday on the sidelines of a bid round road show in Dubai. He said he will submit his proposal to the government in the next two or three months and expects a favorable response.
