Russian Export Duties to Rise

Russian oil export duties are expected to rise again in October, which could hit exports. Duties on crude may increase to $239- $242/ton ($32.61-$33.02/bbl) from $238.80/ton ($32.55/bbl) this month, according to the deputy head of the finance ministry's customs department, Alexander Sakovich. The final figure will be based on the price of Russian Urals export blend from Aug. 15 to Sep. 14, which is expected to average $68.80-$69.67/bbl, Sakovich said. From Aug. 15 to Sep. 9, Urals averaged $69.93/bbl.
