Shell to Invest in Americas

Royal Dutch Shell envisions $40 billion in investments across its North and South American operations over the next four years translating into a 40% uptick in production output in the region. In a press release em- phasizing the Anglo-Dutch major's strategic vision for its “Upstream Americas” business segment, Shell said its oil and gas production in the region could reach 1 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2014, a 40% in- crease from current levels.
