EU OKs Glencore Chemoil Buy

Swiss commodity trader Glencore International has been cleared by European Commission competition authorities to buy Hong Kong-based Chemoil Energy's bunker fuel sup ply business in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Chemoil said earlier this month that facilities in Russia, India and the Philippines were not included. The deal, announced in December, is worth up to $233 million (IOD Dec.16,p2).
