French ethanol producers plan to ask the European Union to erect temporary trade barriers to prevent cheap imports from Brazil that are benefiting from a fall in the value of the real, the Brazilian currency.Sugar and ethanol maker Tereos, which produces about 30% of Europe's ethanol output, will ask French ethanol makers' group SNPAA to prepare the request in the coming weeks, Tereos Chief Executive Philippe Duval told Reuters.
