In a further sign that Moscow is warming to private ownership, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin says the Russian government intends to expand dialogue with businessmen and gradually reduce its presence in the economy. "The government of Russia aims to be in constant contact with representatives of domestic and foreign business," Putin was quoted as telling an investment forum in Moscow on Tuesday. He said Moscow would like "to seriously increase the effectiveness of this dialogue" in order to tap private experience, knowledge, power and initiative to the utmost.
