Arrow Spuds Vietnam CBM Well

Australia's Arrow Energy said Monday that it has spudded a coalbed methane exploration well in northern Vietnam. The well is in Block MVHN-01KT, about 80 km from Hanoi. It is the first in an eight-well program that will take about six months (IOD Nov.10,p3). The first well will be drilled to 600 meters, targeting a thick, Miocene-age coal-bearing sequence above an existing conventional gas target.
