Statkraft Joins UK Wind Project

Norwegian state-owned utility Statkraft has paid compatriot StatoilHydro $741 million for a 50% stake in the 315 MW Sheringham Shoal wind farm project off the UK coast. Statoil estimates the project will cost 10 billion Norwegian kroner ($1.48 billion) and could be up and running in 2011. Construction is due to start this summer.
