Woodside Petroleum has kept to its word and awarded contracts for the onshore front-end engineering and design (Feed) work for the expansion of its A$12 billion (US$11 billion) Pluto LNG project in Western Australia, despite having still to tie up gas supplies. Dual contracts for Feed on a second and third train at the Burrup Peninsula site were awarded to the PJV venture between Foster Wheeler and WorleyParsons, and to KBR, Woodside said Wednesday. The total cost of the Feed phase remains within the A$100 million-A$150 million range estimated in August.
